Who Is Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for UI’s Post-UTME screening:

  • You must have scored 200 or above in the 2025 UTME.

  • UI must have been your first-choice institution.

  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates are also eligible and must follow separate DE-specific instructions.

  • Registration Period: Monday, 21 July 2025 to Saturday, 17 August 2025. No extensions are expected. 

  • Screening Exam Start Date: Monday, 25 August 2025. Specific exam dates will be communicated individually. 

  • UI Cut-Off Mark: What You Need to Know

  • The JAMB Cut-Off Mark for UI is 200 across all courses. 

  • Departmental cut-off marks may be higher. Candidates from Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS) may benefit from adjusted thresholds based on merit and quota.

Fees & Payment Process

  • Portal Access Fee: ₦3,000

  • Screening Fee: ₦2,000
    Payment must be made through the official UI admission portal via ATM cards, internet banking, or at bank branches. Always print and keep your payment receipts.

How to Apply — Step-by-Step

  1. Visit the UI admissions portal and log in using your JAMB registration number (e.g. 202412345678EG) and surname (uppercase) as your initial password.

  2. Pay the ₦3,000 portal fee and ₦2,000 screening fee.

  3. Complete the bio-data form and upload necessary documents (O’Level results, UTME printout, valid email and phone number).

  4. Print the confirmation slip and payment receipt.

  5. Your specific exam date will be shared on your dashboard or via official communication.

Post-UTME Screening: What to Expect

  • The screening is conducted via Computer-Based Test (CBT) or structured evaluation.

  • Results and admission lists will be published online.

  • Ensure your contact details are accurate to receive updates.
